Helping Close the Gap in Women’s Health Care in Canada
Across Canada, access to specialized women’s health procedures remains limited. Expanding equitable access to women’s health care is a driving force behind my work. The clitoral adhesion release procedure is not currently offered in many provinces, leaving patients with no option but to seek costly private care in the United States.
I have been providing this service to women in Alberta since 2023 and have been offering workshops to teach providers how to start offering this procedure in their gynecology practices.
While this gap continues to exist, however, I am gauging whether there is a need to offer a private Canadian-based option — so that women can access treatment closer to home and improve their quality of life.
At this stage, we are collecting intake forms to assess the need.
If you are experiencing pain or sexual concerns related to clitoral adhesions and would like to have a Canadian treatment option, please complete the intake form below.
