Common Conditions We Treat
Urinary Incontinence:
Uncontrolled leakage of urine can be very embarrassing. Some women with this problem avoid activities they enjoy for fear of needing to go to the bathroom. Others spend a lot of money on pads and sanitary products. There are different causes and treatments available ranging from lifestyle modifications, to pelvic floor physiotherapy, medical devices and surgery.

Transgender Care:
Navigating our healthcare system to access gender affirming surgery can be challenging. We have partnered with The Gender Centre and offer before-and-after surgical care in addition to many other medical services.
Recurrent UTIs:
Some women are more prone to bladder infections. The only way to know if you have a true bladder infection (urinary tract infection) is to have your doctor send a urine sample for culture to the laboratory where they will grow the bacteria. Results take 2-4 days. Treatment for this condition includes prevention strategies as well as antibiotics only when required.

Pelvic Organ Prolapse:
A bulge coming through the vagina is a very common condition in women. Thankfully, it is not medically dangerous and if not bothersome to the woman, does not need to be treated. However, if it interferes with certain functions and activities and is bothersome, there are many treatment options we offer.
Bladder Symptoms:
There are many bladder symptoms that women find bothersome. These can include a slow stream, difficulty emptying urine, urinary urgency, voiding frequently and getting up several times per night to empty the bladder. Our team will investigate these symptoms with you and devise a treatment strategy.

Interstitial Cystitis:
Also known as Bladder Pain Syndrome. A bladder inflammation condition that mimics the symptoms of recurrent bladder infections. Our team will diagnose and offer treatment options for this chronic condition.
Fecal Incontinence:
Accidental bowel leakage can result in loss of control of gas or stool.

Mesh Complications:
In pelvic floor reconstructive surgery, a more supportive material such as mesh may be an option you and your surgeon will discuss. As with all surgeries, mesh has a risk of complication. Our team of surgeons all have specialized expertise in mesh complications and mesh removal.

Chronic Pelvic Pain and Dyspareunia:
Pain in the lower abdomen, pelvis, vagina and vulva may be there constantly, or only occur during sexual activity. We work with women to fully understand their condition and find strategies and treatments to improve their quality of life.
